Guilds

The guilds are associations of artisans or merchants who control the practice of their craft in a particular city. The larger guilds span across multiple city states. Members of guilds need to pay subscriptions to support the operation of the guild. In return they are permitted to operate their craft, obtain supplies, apprentices, access to skilled training. The guilds also persecute rogue operators.
